Senior Management Accountant

The Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused Senior Management Accountant to take responsibility for delivering accurate financial reporting, leading our month-end processes, and supporting the financial performance of Aspect Windows and another established business within the group, along with the holding company.

In this key role, you will manage all financial reporting cycles, produce meaningful budgets and forecasts, and ensure all companies meet their statutory obligations. You will work closely with managers across the business, providing clear financial insight that supports good decision‑making, cost control and profit improvement.

You will also lead the development of efficient financial processes, support continuous improvement across the Accounts function and provide day‑to‑day line management for our Accounts & Administration Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Producing accurate and timely monthly and quarterly performance and financial reports for key stakeholders, to include full monthly management accounts.
  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Managing all month‑end processes, including reconciliations and producing accounts to trial balance level.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance across the finance function, including GDPR and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Providing financial insight to support business initiatives and improve commercial performance.
  • Managing departmental financial processes to support strong returns on investment.
  • Developing efficient systems and processes across the Accounts Department and wider business.
  • Line managing the Accounts & Administration Assistant.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • AAT or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in management accounting, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Confidence working independently with SAGE Line 50 and SAGE Line 50 payroll and managing payroll and VAT processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with managers across the business.
  • Experience producing reliable bookkeeping and year‑end information.
  • The ability to lead others, develop strong working relationships and create a positive team culture.
  • A flexible, solution‑focused approach and the ability to work well under pressure.

Rewards

Salary: £38k- £47k depending on skills and experience.
