A traditional property in Devon which required renovating, including the replacement of the original timber glazing.
The new owners of this classic property wanted to renovate the large home ensuring it was in keeping with the original style of the property.
With over 46 timber windows to be replaced, there was many elements to consider before the removal of the old windows. Including the original decorative timber cornice detail which surrounded a number of the windows, and the flat roofs over certain bay doors and windows, where acro props would be needed to support the weight whilst the old windows were removed and the new windows fitted.
Having found Aspect Windows through our website, the homeowners booked a showroom appointment to view the product they were interested in. Following the honesty and the professionalism of the sales team, the homeowners decided upon Aspect to supply and install their new windows and doors.
The homeowners chose a window which is designed to authentically replicate 19th century timber windows. With a traditionally elegant flush exterior and a stylish decorative interior.
A PVCu composite makes the replacement windows virtually maintenance free, with no painting or staining required like the original windows. Easily cleaned with minimum effort.
The PVCu windows are thermally efficient, without losing the character, appearance and feel of the period property.
A clotted cream woodgrain foil finish was chosen, adding a little more warmth than white, with monkey tail window handles, for the double glazed casement, side-hung windows with Georgian bars.
Delivering traditional sight lines, in keeping with the original look of the property.
