A large 4 bedroom family home, with a first floor living area to make the most of the fantastic Constantine Bay sea views.
On the grounds of this new build luxury property, originally sat a single storey bungalow built in the 1980s. It was one of two which had been built amongst an area of two or three storey houses. Not only was the bungalow over powered by the nearby houses, due it its ground floor position it also wasn’t able to capture the sea views a short distance away.
The owners decided to demolish the original bungalow and replace with a modern dwelling which took advantage of the sea views.
White render and a slate roof was chosen to complement the local properties. Whilst a contemporary mix of glass and cedar boarding was used to add distinction.
The ground floor hosts the bedrooms, so the sea views could be captured in the first floor open plan living area.
The Architect designed the property with a large curtain wall screen on the first floor living area, ensuring there was nothing to block the view. The curtain wall along with the rooflights, means the whole living area is flooded with natural light. Large sliding doors have been used to open up the kitchen to the balcony. Allowing for easy access and for the kitchen entertaining area to be expanded out onto the balcony when required.
An PVCu/aluminium composite material was chosen for the windows and doors, in RAL 7015 – slate grey and a mixture of slate grey and white internally.
