FAQ – What is a Georgian window bar?
In the past Georgian window bars were traditionally used to make up a larger window from a number of smaller, less expensive panes – but now they’re used to evoke character, especially in period properties.
A true glazing bar holds several smaller panes, but this option isn’t great for energy efficiency. Glass is much cheaper now, so modern bars are usually applied to one large sheet of glass to give an illusion of division.
Adding glazing bars to your windows and doors creates a stylish, timeless design. Which has the ability to complement a classic, modern or commercial style.
