FAQ – How do you operate a tilt and turn window?

Tilt and turn windows are an excellent option when you are looking to combine the benefits of both a standard picture window and a traditional casement window.

Aluminium tilt and turn windows (also known as a tilt before turn window) allow you to combine the light, and view maximising properties of a picture window, with the ability to open for ventilation, or use as an emergency exit, at increased sizes compared to traditional casement windows.

Turning the handle 90 degrees allows the window to be opened into the tilted ventilation position. Turning the handle 180 degrees from the closed position allows the window to open in to the room fully.
